Graduates of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) have a tremendous variety of career choices. One in five jobs in Tennessee is directly related to agriculture and natural resources. More than 90 percent of the students who receive degrees in agricultural sciences and natural resources enter careers other than production agriculture. These careers focus on science and engineering,
business, education, marketing, professional and graduate studies, natural resources, the environment and social services. The employment demand for college graduates with expertise in agricultural sciences and natural resources annually exceeds the supply by 4-10 percent or more. Salaries are competitive with many other professional fields.
